Charles F. Hollis, III (“Chuck”) was born in Covington, Kentucky. He is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University (B.A. History & Political Science, summa cum laude), the University of Cincinnati College of Law (J.D.), and the University of Helsinki Faculty of Law (LL.M. International Law) in Finland. He has also done coursework at the State Pushkin Institute for Russian Language, and Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Mr. Hollis is the chairman of BY&H’s Immigration Law Department. His practice entails all aspects of immigration law, ranging from family and employment-related matters, to asylum, naturalization and citizenship matters. He speaks Russian, and also has a working knowledge of French and German.

Mr. Hollis’ practice also entails a wide variety of other fields, including: international law, trial and appellate practice, personal injury, corporate and small business law, construction, estate planning and probate, and insurance law.

Mr. Hollis has been the lead counsel in thirteen jury trials and approximately forty arbitrations. He also serves regularly on arbitration panels.

Mr. Hollis is an active member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cincinnati, the French-American Chamber of Commerce, the Cincinnati-Ukraine Partnership and the World Affairs Council of Greater Cincinnati. He also serves as secretary for the Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana Sister Cities Coalition.

Mr. Hollis is an amateur Russia scholar, having lived, worked and studied in Moscow on multiple occasions. His favorite pastimes include international travel, reading (especially world history and classic literature), tennis, photography and classical music.
